February 27, 2011 (LOS ANGELES, CA) – Giorgio Armani dressed selected nominees, presenters and guests at the 83^rd Annual Academy Awards, as well as guests at various events surrounding the Oscars. The show took place on Sunday evening, February 27^th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The Oscars were telecast live on ABC beginning at 5:00 pm PT / 8:00 pm ET.

Host Anne Hathaway wore a purple sapphire Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown. The luminescent duchesse satin dress is accented with a dramatic, off the shoulder strap, a fitted bodice, and a high back slit. The technical fabric gives the modern silhouette a look of liquidity. She completed the look with Giorgio Armani Privé purple sapphire platform shoes that feature a closed toe and a lucite heel.

Presenter Reese Witherspoon wore a black and white Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown. The strapless dress features a white silk band at the neckline and a subtle train.

Aishwarya Rai selected a bronze Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown. The strapless silhouette is fully embellished with rows of linear amber sequins and accented with a beaded gathered detail at the waist.

Celine Dion wore a long sleeve soft gold Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown with a plunging neckline and strong shoulder.

Co-Chair of Disney Media Networks and President of Disney-ABC Television Group Anne Sweeney selected a warm golden piece custom Giorgio Armani gown. The dress has spaghetti straps and a diaphanous chiffon top, with an elegant column skirt.

Nominee Geoffrey Rush wore a Giorgio Armani two-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic evening shirt and a black bow tie. Rush is nominated in the category of Actor in a Supporting Role for his work "The King's Speech."

Mark Wahlberg wore a Giorgio Armani two-button peak lapel microfiber tuxedo with a matching vest and a classic evening shirt and a black bow tie. Wahlberg stars in and co-produced the multi-nominated film “The Fighter.”

Armie Hammer selected a Giorgio Armani two-button shawl collar tuxedo with a pleated front evening shirt and a black bow tie. Hammer is one of the stars of the mulit-nominated film “The Social Network.”
